I think this project was influenced by the clients themselves. The stories they told about memories and being here and just them explaining how important it was that we capture that. They never wanted to lose site of what was here before. It was really really important to them that we maintain the original charm and feel of the farm. Understanding what their vision was and their hopes and dreams for the space, really helped us select materials and finishes that really resonated with them and kept the charm of the original farm.
Quiet luxury was our focus in design here. We wanted the house to feel warm and inviting with an organic feel to it. We incorporated the key elements of french country style, to be able to blend the organic softness of a country side home, with a timeless classic elegance. This is a brand new project, we worked with BOC Group Construction to bring it to life. This house was built for a family of 4 and we started collaborating with them from the layout development stage. We were very mindful of the flow and maximizing functionality in every square inch of the space.
Our clients asked for a home that is calm, fresh and welcoming. And with those three words in mind, very often you have calm and fresh and that will bring ideas to mind, but when it’s welcoming then you know you that need to make this place a home that is comfortable to 2 people but also comfortable for 22 people. And that was an interesting challenge for us in the way that we approach the layout of this house, how the rooms interacted and how we were able to create spaces that could expand and contract.
One of our biggest challenges was actually marrying the two styles together. She is much more traditional and He is much more contemporary. One of the ways that I decided to tackle that, was to overall have a more contemporary vibe to the space but hide the patterns and details and little bits of colour here and there. That became one of the biggest challenges but it was a lot of fun too. Designed by Joanne Dolan Design.
One of our core value is timelessness and this idea of timeless design was also important to our clients. They came to us to help them reconfigure the layout so that the space works better for their growing family. They really had no idea where to start. We were able to walk them through the whole process from beginning to end. We connected them with out contractors and architects, as a collective group we were able to make their dreams a reality. This 6500 square foot single-family home had great bones. With tall ceilings and a central spiral staircase, we already had a great base to work with. The staircase is visible from nearly all angles and rooms in the house so we knew that we wanted to make it special. Unlike anything we designed before, we opted for the modern, clean lines of a curved plaster banister, topped with a white oak handrail stained to match the floors. Design by Hibou Design & Co.

This project started about one year ago and had many ups and downs. It presented many challenges on the renovation process such as but not limited to; distance, labour, hillside elevation and more. Designed by Michelle and built by her husband Gary, The Thunderbird Cabin is symbolic and means a lot to them. Design by Michelle Berwick Design.
The original scope for our Hamptons à Sorel project included renovating three bathrooms and furnishing the home from scratch. The home was dated but in pristine condition. It was tastefully decorated by a designer but needed a major update. Design by Hibou Design & Co.
An urban home as well an escape from the city. Designed by award-winning designer Jeffrey Douglas from Douglas Design Studios, Lytton Park Serenity Home is anyone’s dream. Design by Douglas Design Studio.
Project Kleinburg is a work of art and one of my biggest film projects so far. Incredible design, huge space, cozy coastal vibe. Three years in the making. Design by Michelle Berwick Design.
